Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-02-14
1. Scope
These Terms of Service govern your use of the cajible app, related APIs, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Accounts and Authentication
You are responsible for managing your credentials (such as email/password and third-party sign-in credentials) and preventing unauthorized use.
The Service may provide anonymous/guest access. With anonymous usage, your data may be lost and may not be recoverable in cases such as app deletion, device change, or account-linking state changes.
If you use third-party identity providers (such as Apple, Google, or Firebase), you must also comply with those providers’ terms.
3. Service Features
The Service may provide features such as housework records, templates, schedules, reminders, workspace sharing, and data sync.
Feature availability may vary depending on your plan, device, OS version, app version, region, and third-party service availability.
4. Fees and Paid Plans
The Service may include paid plans. Pricing, billing cycles, trial availability, and feature scope are shown in-app or on related pages.
Store-managed billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled under the rules of platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play.
If a paid plan expires, is canceled, or payment fails, premium features (including sync and collaboration features) may be restricted.
5. Workspace Sharing
The Service may allow workspace sharing via invite codes or similar mechanisms.
You are responsible for invite code handling, choosing collaborators, and understanding that collaborators may edit or delete shared data.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by actions of other collaborators.
6. User Data
Except as otherwise required by law or these Terms, rights in data you input or store in the Service (“User Data”) remain with you.
You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, copy, transmit, analyze, and otherwise process User Data as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, improve, and secure the Service.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to share your data and that your data does not infringe third-party rights.
7. Sync, Retention, and Backups
The Service may provide local storage and cloud sync (for eligible plans), but we do not guarantee perfect completeness, timeliness, or persistence of sync results.
For sync consistency, metadata for deleted records may be retained for a limited period (implementation currently targets about 30 days) and then removed.
You are responsible for backing up important data.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services such as Firebase (authentication/analytics), Google Sign-In, RevenueCat (billing state), Sentry (error reporting), and Cloudflare (API infrastructure).
Related data processing is subject to those providers’ terms/policies and our Privacy Policy.
On supported platforms, crash reporting may be configurable in app settings.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Violate laws or public policy
- Access, interfere with, or overload the Service or related systems in unauthorized ways
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise analyze the Service except where expressly permitted by law
- Bypass billing, feature, or authorization controls
- Infringe others’ rights or interests
- Engage in any conduct we reasonably determine to be inappropriate
10. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights related to the Service (including software, designs, documentation, and trademarks) belong to us or our licensors.
These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant any license beyond what is necessary to use the Service.
11. Changes, Suspension, and Termination of Service
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service when operationally or technically necessary, with prior notice where practical, or without notice in emergencies.
Continued use of the Service may require updating to a supported app version.
12. Suspension of Access
We may limit or suspend your access to the Service without prior notice if you violate these Terms or if such action is reasonably necessary for Service operations.
13. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, data preservation, or error-free operation.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from or related to your use of the Service.
14. Limitation of Liability
Even if we are found liable, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred by you, and capped at the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the month in which the damage occurred.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as needed. Updated Terms become effective when posted on the website or in the Service.
If you continue using the Service after changes become effective, you are deemed to have accepted the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court or the Tokyo Summary Court as the court of first instance.
